I’ve Moved

I have moved to blog spot.  I have followed many blogs and everyone seems to be using blog spot.  It is easier to post pictures and gives me more of what I need to have a successful blog.  Here is my new address:

Hope You All

had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I took 4 days off work, painted my living room, entry way and bathroom (what was I thinking) plus cleaned house and cooked.  Thank goodness for my 16 year old son – he was so much help.  We had a very enjoyable holiday.  Then I found out I get stuck (oh I mean the joy) of hosting Christmas as well.  My cousin and his wife usually do Christmas but they are both nurses and have to work.

I have new cards to post that I made for a friend so I will get those up shortly.  They are so cute!  I had my first class at The Keepsake Element on Saturday, November 27th.  It was great!  I love that place.  I will post some of the cards, but there are 4 I cannot post because I submitted them to Paper Crafts.  Therefore, I cannot post them.  However, I should hear something in about a week whether or not they chose any of my cards.  Wish me luck.

Cards from my November Workshop

These are cards I made for my November workshop:

Each year my employer sends Christmas stockings with goodies to the troops.  Employees make the stockings and homemade cards which go into the stockings.  Here are a few of mine:

How about pleats on your cards

I have never done pleats on a card – never even thought about it.  There are so many talented crafters aren’t there?  Any way I found a couple of tutorials.  I am going to try them and see what I can come up with.  Hopefully I can get a card with pleats posted this week.

Tutorial #1 – Here

Tutorial #2 – Here

If you decide to try it send me an upload of your card at and I will post it here.

This is my favorite:

This card was done by Amy Sheffer.

Here is my first attempt at a pleated card:

The workshop was a great success

Wow, we started at 6:30 p.m. and ended at 10:30 p.m.  By the end of the night all the kits were about gone.  We each made 6 cards and 15 kits of each card.  That is a lot of cards.  Thanks to everyone who came.  Glad you had a good time.  NOTE:  Remember, there is another camp Saturday, October 30th at the Police Station from 9-3.  Hope you can make it.

Simon Says Stamp

I don’t know about you, but in my area when I go shopping for stamping supplies, the hardest thing to find are paper flowers.   Michael’s and Hobby Lobby used to carry a lot of them but now they are very scarce.   Maybe a lot of you are already familiar with Simon Says Stamp, but I wasn’t until I was surfing the net one night and came across the website.  They have everything.  LOVE IT!

Here is a link directly to their flowers:

WOW!  Their inventory is great.
