How to Make a Step Card

These cards are so cool.  However, I had no idea how to make one.

Example of a step card.  This one was made by hummrs1.  It can be seen on Splitcoaststampers.

Here is a Youtube video that shows it very well.

Simon Says Stamp

I don’t know about you, but in my area when I go shopping for stamping supplies, the hardest thing to find are paper flowers.   Michael’s and Hobby Lobby used to carry a lot of them but now they are very scarce.   Maybe a lot of you are already familiar with Simon Says Stamp, but I wasn’t until I was surfing the net one night and came across the website.  They have everything.  LOVE IT!

Here is a link directly to their flowers:

WOW!  Their inventory is great.

Cards I Made Last Night

There is nothing more relaxing than designing and making a card.  I just got some new Magnolia stamps so of course I had to make a couple of cards.  I have more to do but when it hit 1:30 a.m. I figured I better stop.

For this card I used Stampin Up Real Rust cardstock.  I went through my designer papers and this striped autumn paper caught my eye.  I then used Stampin Up Creamy Caramel as my back drop for Thanksgiving Tilda.  Isn’t she cute.  I actually just bought orange and yellow flowers so this worked out perfectly.  I just let the paper speak to me and this is what I ended up with.

Here is a view of the inside of the card.  I embossed the lefthand side and added a flower embellishment.

The next card is another Tilda.  I used Stampin Up Real Red and Glorious Green cardstock.  The stamp is by Great Impressions.  I used my Copic markers to color the holly and berries.  I then used my 1 inch circle punch and punched out another image of the middle of the stamp, colored it and glittered it and then used dimensionals to attach to the center of the other stamped image.  I colored Tilda with Copics and used dimensionals to adhere her to the card.

Have to Share the Cards Made in Class

These are wonderful cards designed by Kellee Mum at the Keepsake Element Copic Cabana Club and Magnolia Club that I attend each month.  They were fun to make and as you can see the out come is outstanding.  Thanks Kellee for such great designs.

This card was so much fun to color and assemble.  The fall colors are awesome and the ribbon is great.  Tip – the ribbon came from Hobby Lobby in the trim section of the ribbons.  The acorn attached is just the right touch to make the card special.

This card uses canvas paper.  It was really fun to work with.  I will probably buy some and use it on my cards.  We used the Copic air brush system to spray the background on the card.  It was very easy to do.  Another toy I will be investing in soon.  You just load your marker, hit the button and point.  Doesn’t get much easier than that.  Then we stamped our Flourish image in brown ink and added our butterflies and we were done.  Isn’t this beautiful?

This next card is my favorite.  Again, it uses the fall colors which I love and is just fun.  We used the Copics to make these beautiful fall leaves.

Here is the card that we made in Magnolia Club.  Again, a cute, fun card.  Kellee is very talented in designing.
